"Metroid Prime: Federation Force" will be released to the US audience on Aug. 19 while the European gamers would have to wait till Sept. 2, Tech Times reported. The famous single-player game franchise took a toll from the fans back in 2015 when the developers announced that "Metroid" is going to be a multiplayer cooperative strategy. A vehement response from the gamers also expressed itself with over 86 thousand dislikes on the newly released YouTube game trailer.

The decision was met with fury from the "Metroid" game lovers, who took to different social media channels to raise their voice, saying that this is not a true Metroid game and the multiplayer "Metroid Prime" version was a disgrace to the original Nitendo franchise. The dislike soon turned into a formal petition that ran on Change.org racking up over 23 thousand signatures out of targeted goal of total 25,000 votes.

The multiplayer "Metroid Prime: Federation Force" also integrates Nitendo's 3DS system which enables the console's C-stick as a dual analog control. The currently multiplayer facility allows up to four simultaneous players for a single game to co-op mission objectives.

Apart from "Federation Force" a soccer edition "Metroid Prime: Blast Ball" can also be played, which players face each other in a triple team action. The 3-on-3 "Blast Ball" mode also works on the local area network apart from the online team challenge.

Metroid Prime completed a decade of a successful run on Nintendo consoles as a first-person shooter until the multiplayer twist disappointed the collective fanbase of the franchise. So not much can be said about the success of "Metroid Prime: Federation Force" until it is finally released to the American and European game enthusiasts on their respective August and September release dates.

The game will not be the same without the legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran, but according to GamesPresso, she can still proof inspirational to new players. Despite the wide open protests, the company still thinks "Metroid Prime: Federation Force" will deliver its market presence, again, to say anything in or against these claims would be premature until the solid and software edition of the game roles out from August onward.

Here is the trailer that reaped out over 86 thousand dislikes on the YouTube.
