Presidential elections are nearing and tension continues to grow. Mellie, Susan and Hollis are vying for the post of President, but one of them might give the other two a tough competition.
ABC has released the synopsis for "Scandal" Season 5 episode 20 "Trump Card" on its official website. According to the press release, an unexpected situation will force Olivia and Abby to come together for a common mission. They must put an end to their conflict and work together to bring down Hollis Doyle, who might be putting Mellie and Susan's chances of winning the elections in danger. Will Olivia and Abby be able to bring Mellie and Susan out of the crisis situation?
In the meantime, "Scandal" Season 5 episode 20 will delve deeper into Edison's storyline. He figures that he might be in danger and playing with the fire. He realises that he might have made a mistake by involving Rowan in the campaign.
At the same time, Rowan and Jake together continue to pull strings to ensure their candidate's victory in the presidential elections. But will they go too far? Will their power games backfire and put Edison's candidature in danger?
