Several fans have speculated that the funeral scene in episode 23 of "The Flash" season 2 might indicate that Earth 1 Joe West will likely die. Cast member Tom Cavanagh teased during an interview in DC All Access that the audiences might expect someone close to Barry will die in the show.

There is a chance that Joe will be that person since his Earth 2 doppelganger died during an attack by Hunter Zolomon/Zoom's (Teddy Sears and Tony Todd) metahuman henchmen and could be a foreshadowing of things to come, Buddy TV reported.

In other news, its seems that "The Flash" will be introducing two new speedsters within the team as Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Jesse Chambers Wells(Violet Beane) will likely develop "Speed Force" powers in the show very soon.

It was during the final scenes from episode 21 that both Wally and Jesse were caught in a small amount of energy from particle accelerator within S.T.A.R. Labs after team Flash tries to restore Barry's powers in a dangerous experiment.

This led to fans speculating and theorizing that both Wally and Jesse will become speedsters in end of the season 2 will likely take the mantle of Kid Flash and Jesse Quick in the show in future seasons, Screenrant reported.

Comic Book writer and director Kevin Smith teased something big for seaon 2 finale of "The Flash" as he stated that it will be "insanely strong". Whether this could be a death of character or the emergences of both Wally and Jesse's powers is yet to be determined.

The next episode of "The Flash" season 2 titled "Invincible" will have Barry and Team Flash face Zoom's army of Earth 2 metahumans invading Central City and an encounter with Earth 2 Laurel Lance/Black Siren (Katie Cassidy).

"The Flash" returns on Tuesday 8pm on the CW Network.
