"Fast and Furious" star Vin Diesel is currently facing legal troubles. The actor has been slapped with a lawsuit by his former business partner, George Zakk, for a fee of $275, 000, that pertains to the former's upcoming movie "xXx: Return Of Xander Cage."

The lawsuit was filed by Zakk in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 10. In the court documents, he claimed that he had worked for Diesel's production company One Race Films to develop projects in exchange of producers' credits and a fee ranging from $250,000 to $275,000.

Zakk claimed that although his relationship with the production company was terminated in 2007, the contract was made to extend to cover all the sequels to the films that he helped Diesel to develop. The lawsuit also mentioned that Zakk got the payment for "xXx," "Chronicles of Riddick" and "The Pacifier," but he is being ignored for the "xXx" sequel, TMZ reported.

Citing breach of oral contract and implied-in factual contract, Zakk has claimed what he says is his fees along with unspecified other damages. Diesel is yet to comment on the matter.

Despite the legal issues, "xXx: Return Of Xander Cage" is due to hit theaters on Jan. 20, 2017. In spite of the huge success of "xXx," Diesel and director Rob Cohen stayed out of its 2005 sequel which failed badly at the box office.

Diesel will be reprising his role of athlete-turned-reluctant spy Xander Cage, who was supposedly killed before the 2005 sequel, a storyline that was used to explain his absence from the Ice Cube starrer "xXx: State of the Union." The upcoming sequel will see him return from an exile so that he can take on Donnie Yen's Xiang, a villain who has his sights set on acquiring the unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box.

Meanwhile, Diesel is busy shooting "Fast and Furious 8" in Cuba. Along with co-star Michelle Rodriguez, he was spotted in Havana where excited crowds on the streets as he sped past them while being behind the wheel of what appeared to be a near mint condition 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser, Daily Mail reported. Watch the trailer of the highly-awaited movie below:
