"Halo 6" is one of the highly anticipated series in Xbox. While there is still no confirmation of the release date coming from game developer 343 Industries, rumors are circulating online about its possible early release.

However, the said reports of early release for the next Halo installment may not be entirely acceptable given the fact that franchise development director Frank O'Connor admitted in an interview that they are not clear yet on what is next for the game. The developer admitted that they are still in the planning and writing stage and that they have never been in such position before.

Though there is still no conclusive evidence of the forthcoming "Halo 6", anonymous sources are saying that next Halo series in the coming time would be release for both Windows 10 and Xbox One. Sources believe that the next installment of the game would be played in a much slimmer Xbox One and would likely be accompanied by hardware with high performance such as improved GPU supporting 4K resolution and computing speed at 6 teraflops, according to Kotaku.

The expected Xbox One 2017 model codenamed Scorpio would be the perfect representation of the said upgrade, as it would mark the shift of interest to games capable of being played on both PC and Xbox console platforms. This convergence of PC and console is part of the larger scheme planned by Microsoft dubbed as "Project Helix." And it seems like part of the goal of the said project is to break the barrier limiting compatibility among platforms by introducing new hardware capable of rendering future game software.

"You'll actually see us come out with new hardware capability during a generation allowing the same games to run backward and forward compatible because we have a Universal Windows Application running on top of the Universal Windows Platform that allows us to focus more and more on hardware innovation without invalidating the games that run on that platform," Polygon quoted Microsoft's head of Xbox Phil Spencer.

And since there is still no clear evidence on the release of "Halo 6" and all we have are rumors and statements of uncertainties of the next Halo series, it would be best to put the focus on "Halo 5: Guardians" and its next update. Underneath is a presentation on what to expect from the new expansion of the said installment:
