The publication claimed that some people already saw the 52-year-old actor filming on set. Unfortunately, no photos have been leaked online as of late.

Meanwhile, Perrineau starred in AMC's Lost." He also appeared in "The Matrix" films and video games. Other shows that the actor has been a part of include "Constantine," "Wedding Band and "Sons of Anarchy."

In the comic books, Ezekiel was introduced as the self-proclaimed leader of a community called The Kingdom. He's a smart and very charismatic man that makes people in his community especially drawn to him.

The comic book character also has a pet tiger who he fondly calls Shiva. Due to his goodness, Ezekiel is not necessarily fond of the villainous character Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). He also dislikes the Saviors.

As of late, there is still no confirmation yet whether or not Perrineau will really play the role of Ezekiel. The show's official spoiler site promised fans that they will continue to find proof that he could indeed be the newest cast member in "The Walking Dead" season 7.

In other news, the upcoming episodes of "The Walking Dead" season 7 are expected to reveal the name of Negan's victim.

During last season's finale episode, Negan killed off one character, and there are some ongoing rumors that this could be Glenn (Steven Yeun).

At the end of season 5, Glenn's fate was also put at risk after a huge explosion. During that time, there were speculations that Glenn died, but he ultimately survived.

This time around, Glenn's fate is highly questionable. According to multiple publications, Glenn's death is the only one that would make sense for the show because his character is well-loved so his demise will definitely trigger fans to talk.

Also, Glenn is not as popular as lead character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) so it may be easier to get rid of him.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC on Oct. 9.
