"World of Final Fantasy" wants to give new generation of players an expanded Final Fantasy universe, IGN Southeast Asia said. At the same time, it wants to give long-time Final Fantasy fans a sense of nostalgia that would want them to keep coming back as the game features the iconic Final Fantasy characters. Here is the new E3 trailer from Square Enix, which shows the heroes and monsters of this game.

"World of Final Fantasy" is already at the latter part of development, and Square Enix is said to be polishing up the game and doing some adjustments, TechnoBuffalo reported citing a post from Dengeki Online. The details that were translated by Siliconera also revealed that the gameplay could take as much as 100 hours for the story parts alone. The game can be played in a carefree manner, which makes it easier for players to go to places and even fast-forward or skip event scenes. You can go easy with the battles at the early part of the game, but you would need some strategy planning when you reach the middle part.

There are also 200 characters or Mirages, all of them are said to be living in that Final Fantasy world ever since, instead of coming from another realm. The developer is trying to find a way so that players would want to use them all; otherwise, they would be lonely.

This new role-playing game from Square Enix was first announced by PlayStation VP of Publisher and Developer Relations Adam Boyes during Sony and Square Enix's press conference at E3 2015 in Lost Angeles, California. It will be released exclusively on PS4 and PS Vita consoles on Oct. 25. Pre-order is now available for $59.99. Meanwhile, there is no confirmation yet on whether the "World of Final Fantasy" will also came to other platforms.
