Microsoft has fixed the wrong pricing issue on their Xbox Store which gave Xbox One owners free Fallout 4 plus DLC expansions that are now revoked by the company.

To appease their customers in light of the small trouble, the Redmond-based tech giant is giving a $10 credit for those who downloaded the game for free thinking that they will forever hold the Fallout 4 game and its expansion packs.

On Thursday, several Xbox One players were glad to see that the game was only priced at $0.00 which basically means that they are free to download. However, it was just a glitch and the game licenses are now revoked by Microsoft.

Microsoft's free $10 credit in exchange for all the trouble is actually good for one Fallout 4 DLC, Polygon has learned. Both the Fallout 4 Wasteland Workshop and Fallout 4 Automatron DLC cost roughly $10.

The company apologized for the mishap and said that the downloaded game for free will not work anymore. Players who managed to snag a copy of the wrongly-priced title will be given $10.

In addition, the credit will last a long time if players want to save up for a new game. Microsoft said that the Fallout 4 exchange credit will expire one year from the date that it was deposited in the player's account, IGN reported.

What players seem to want more is the Far Harbor DLC which is part of the Season Pass. Bethesda recently re-released the version for the PlayStation 4 due to a problem in the foggy parts of the expansion that wreaked havoc in the framerates.

Earlier reports regarding the free Fallout 4 content on the Xbox Store speculated that it could be a gimmick for Bethesda's upcoming presentation at E3 2016. The game developers will be introducing new titles such as Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein 2 and a possible remaster of Skyrim and Prey 2.

With Fallout 4 no longer free on the Xbox Store, Xbox One owners can still take the $10 credit and save up to actually buy the whole game for themselves. They could also just buy the DLCs available if they already own the main game.
