Speculations are rife that Jackie Sharp may get the post of the Vice President when Claire Underwood becomes the first female President in "House of Cards" Season 5. Both the politicians are bold and will be a team to reckon with.

It is no secret that Sharp and the Underwoods had a falling out when President Frank Underwood just used her as a ploy to further his prospects. Since then she has been at loggerheads with the power couple.

The First Lady understands the political equations with Sharp and how they can be a major disadvantage to her upcoming presidency in "House of Cards" Season 5. Hence, she may try to make amends with Sharp and offer her the vice-presidency in an apparent attempt to placate her and keep her happy.

Sharp is also not a very moralistic person. She knows that in order to get the work done and/or to get votes in the Senate sometimes one needs to bend the rules a little bit. This trait of hers will also help the first female President of the United States of America immensely in the upcoming season of "House of Cards."

Besides, Sharp was also in a relationship with Remy Danton who is a powerful man in his own right. By according the vice-presidency to Sharp, the First Lady will also ensure that Danton is also her trusted aide.

Danton had previously persuaded the First Lady to backstab her husband in the first season. An undercurrent of loyalty is already present and the First Lady would be prudent to use it to her advantage.

Besides, being a powerful lobbyist who can get the work done without asking too many questions Danton is also the right hand man of Raymond Tusk. Hence, by bringing Sharp onboard, the First Lady will also have Tusk and Danton in her kitty as well.

Meanwhile, actor Michael Kelly who enacts the role of the loyal aide Doug Stampner said in an interview to Gold Derby that he is ready to go to any lengths for the President. He added that he loves the President to bits and will not hesistate to kill for the latter, as well.

Stampner will also engage in an intimate relationship with the First Lady's aide Leann Harvey. Actress Neve Campbell enacts the character of Harvey and she said in an interview to GQ Magazine that she has a very interesting role in "House of Cards" Season 5.
