Blake Shelton, who recently turned 40, has come a long way in the past one year. In fact, it would be an understatement to say that the last year was one of the unforgettable one for the country singer, bringing a lot of changes in his life on personal and professional front.

The changes that Shelton experiences last years were both good and bad. While in the middle of 2015, he was still busy finalizing his divorce with his ex-wife and 32-year-old singer Miranda Lambert. However, the period of remorse soon got over when Shelton met the recent love of his life, Gwen Stefani, according to E! Online.

Things have been easy since the relationship between the two singers has flourished. His life took an unexpected turn as he also discovered an inspiration to record a new album called "If I'm Honest."

The 40-year-old "Came Here To Forget" singer also became the judge on the famous television reality singing show, "The Voice." With "The Make Me Like You" singer acting as an additional mentor for his team members, the year could not have been happier and successful for the country singer.

Shelton and Stefani's romance and relationship have only bloomed in the past year. The two singers are so different, yet so similar. Both of them found comfort in each other's company amidst recent heartbreaks. While Shelton has just divorced Lambert, Stefani was in the middle of separation from her husband of 14 years, Gavin Rossdale.

While Shelton had no children, Stefani had three boys to support - Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. The "Go Ahead and Break My Heart" singer loves to spend time with Stefani's children. Speculations are that Stefani and Shelton might get married real soon and plan their own children in the near future.

Ahead of his 40th birthday, Stefani joined the love of her life over a quiet dinner, the Daily Mail reports. The couple kept staring into each other's eyes, grinned and held hands like perfect teenagers. They both decided to have dinner at the West Hollywood Italian eatery Dan Tanas and were joined by Gwen's brother and his wife.

"I'm our biggest fan. I actually feel like I'm not in my own life, because I'm not," Stefani said of their relationship, according to the publication. "I'm in a different life all of a sudden. I'm so blessed and I feel like I believe in my path. Now there's all these miracles around me!"
