Avid fans of MTV's supernatural series "Teen Wolf" who have been wondering whether Dylan O'Brien will reprise his role in Season 6 have some good news that will make them excited. Apparently, the actor had some of his scenes shot before he sustained injury during the production of "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure."

Some fans questioned the possibility of the actor featuring in some scenes if he reportedly has not returned on the set. O'Brien's co-star Melissa Ponzio who plays Melissa McCall character revealed via Twitter that they were in production and shooting before his accident. Ponzio clarified that production began in February, adding that the only thing the crew is concerned about is O'Brien recuperating and improving every day.

Series creator Jeff Davis initially said that viewers should anticipate fascinating storylines for O'Brien's character Stiles and his love interest Lydia (Holland Roden), according to MTV official website. Davis teased that something big will happen in Season 6 episode 1 between styles and Lydia.

The relationship between Styles and Lydia has grown from being strangers in the early parts of the series, to being best friends. The two characters faced threats and several creatures causing chaos around their town.

In an interview with TV Guide, the series creator further pointed out that the upcoming season will focus on what is really happening between Styles and Lydia. According to Davis, Lydia's feelings for Styles will be central in Season 6. The new development in the plot of the show will make some fans upset, while others will be excited.

On the other hand, it appears like rumors about Tyler Hoechlin reprising his role as fan-favorite Derek Hale may not materialize. Hoechlin has been tapped to feature in The CW's "Supergirl," playing Clark Kent or otherwise referred to as Superman. The actor will feature in the first two episodes of Season 2 whereby he will be visiting his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist) in National City.

"Teen Wolf" development team is yet to schedule the release date for the sixth installment. Watch the sneak peek below for more information:
