The sixth season of the hit HBO show "Game of Thrones" have given fans several shocking scenes that included Maisie Williams' Arya Stark serving Walder Frey a pie made out of his sons before killing him. The gruesome scene may have seemed like a brilliant yet barbaric plan, however, Arya would have likely gotten the idea for it from someone else.

The Season 6 finale of "Game of Thrones" has shown Williams' character crossing off another person on her kill list. Arya slit Walder's (Argus Filch) throat after she served him a special pie made from the remains of Black Walder and Lothar. Speculations posted on Time has indicated that Arya's inspiration for Walder's death may have likely come from the story of the Rat Cook.

The said story was featured on the HBO show during its third season run. In episode 3 of the said season, Arya's brother Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) told a tale of a cook who was so angry with a king that he killed the king's son during his visit to his father. He then cooked the king's son in a pie and served it to the king who enjoyed the taste of it and asked for a second serving. The gods then transformed the cook into a big white rat who would only eat his own offspring.

In George R.R. Martin's book "A Storm of Swords," the author wrote that it was Old Nan who initially shared the story to Bran. In the book, the Winterfell character explained that the gods punished the cook not because he killed the king's son and served it to him. The reason behind the curse was because the gods frowned on the cook killing a guest while he stayed in the king's home. Williams' Arya may have also heard the Rat Cook's story, according to the same report.

Meanwhile, Arya has already killed off three persons from her list namely Ser Meryn Trant, Polliver and Walder. The "Game of Thrones" character still has a few more on her list that includes Cersei Lannister, The Hound, The Mountain, Melisandre and Ser Ilyn Payne, according to Entertainment Weekly. A few of the persons on Arya's list has also been killed by other characters in the HBO show such as Joffrey Baratheon and Tywin Lannister.

Williams also shared her thoughts on the top characters on Arya's infamous list, as indicated in the same report. At the top spot would be Cersei, followed by Melisandre and finally The Mountain or Ilyn Payne.
