Tom Felton, best known for playing the role of Draco Malfoy in all eight "Harry Potter" films, has signed on as a series regular on the upcoming third season of CW's hit series, "The Flash."

The British actor will be portraying the character of Julian Dorn in the superhero drama. Dorn is a fellow member of the CSI division at the Central City Police Department who has his suspicions about Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and believes there's more to him than meets the eye, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

However, it is not clear how the 28-year-old will play into DC Comics' famous comic book-crossover "Flashpoint" storyline in the season three premiere, which Gustin confirmed last month, as previously reported.

"We're definitely doing this [Flashpoint] thing our own way.... This will be its own thing," he teased at the time.

In the comics, "Flashpoint's" plot revolves around Barry as he wakes up to find himself in an alternate timeline where he no longer has his superpowers and is shocked to find out that his mother is still alive. In this reality however, Batman is Thomas Wayne, Superman is in the government's captivity while Wonder Woman and Aquaman are at war with each other.

Barry realizes that he is the one responsible for altering the events of history after he went back in time to save his mother from the villainous speedster known as the Reverse-Flash.

This is exactly what has happened so far in the series too. After Zoom kills Barry's father, he goes back in time to save his mother Nora (Michelle Harrison)

Felton, whose other television credits include "Murder in the First," "Labyrinth" and "Full Circle," will star alongside Jesse L. Martin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Tom Cavanagh and Danielle Panabaker in "The Flash."

Felton will make his "Flash" debut when Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8/7c.
