"Arrow" season 5 lead star Stephen Amell recently opened up about the newest villain who will try to take down his character Oliver Queen.

In an interview with TV Line a few months back, Amell confirmed that WWE retiree Cody Rhodes will appear in at least one episode on the hit The CW series.

Amell and Rhodes crossed paths last year when the latter invited the former for a match on the WWE stage.

In the upcoming episodes, Rhodes will play the role of the villainous character Stardust who Oliver will eventually kill off.

Other than Rhodes, "Arrow" season 5 will also introduce a main villain to be played by "The Walking Dead" actor Chad Coleman.

He will be playing the role of Tobias Church, and he will resurface at Starling City because of all of the things that Oliver has done in his community.

"The villain that we are introducing is a direct result of things that Oliver has done in Star City. He calls back to a lot of things that happened in the first season of the show. It really grounds the show and really focuses on its core value, which is the battle to save Star City," he explained.

Meanwhile, Amell also talked about the first two episodes of "Arrow" season 5 and said that it will refocus on what the show was like in the previous seasons.

Following the first two episodes, there will also be an upcoming crossover with another The CW show "Supergirl" starring Melissa Benoist.

In other news, the lead actor also dished on his character and Felicity Smoak's (Emily Bett Rickards) future.

Now that Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) aka The Black Canary is no longer around, Felicity is expected to work doubly hard in trying to help Oliver and his team deal with the villains.

According to Amell, so much is in store for both Oliver and Felicity. However, their relationship is no longer restricted by romance alone.

"Oliver and Felicity could have a wonderful, fulfilling, dynamic relationship and not be together, right?" he said.

"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW sometime this fall.
