"Arrow" season 5 will be introducing a new vigilante and there are rumors this could be none other than "Batman" character Thomas Wayne.

According to Movie Pilot, this revelation may come to the show when it finally crosses over to "The Flash" season 3.

In the finale episode for the hit The CW series, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) opened up the Flashpoint world by changing the timeline with regards to his mother Nora's death.

Even though Barry succeeded in saving his mother, his return to Earth revealed that he also altered a great number of things.

For instance, the new timeline will Aquaman and Wonder Woman at war against each other. Other changes include Superman being locked up in a government facility. Batman will also be Thomas Wayne and not his son Bruce.

In this timeline, Thomas' son was the one who got shot. The trauma of this accident will turn Thomas into Batman and his wife Martha turned into the character Joker.

In the real story of "Batman," Bruce's father and mother were the ones shot by a villainous character.

With this, the publication believes that Batman as Thomas will appear in both "Arrow" and "The Flash" in the upcoming episodes.

"I have a theory that Thomas Wayne's Batman will be joining the Flarrowverse due to the Flashpoint storyline. More specifically, he will be joining the cast of 'Arrow,'" the publication noted.

Meanwhile, TV Line also confirmed that the Stephen Amell starrer will feature a vigilante and the character was an ex-marine employee.

However, Thomas is not an ex-vigilante so anything can really happen on the show.

In other news, if Thomas will indeed appear in "Arrow" season 5, he could certainly bring trouble to Starling City. Unlike his son, Thomas isn't the original Batman so his heart is not necessarily made out of gold.

Not to mention, the character is a vigilante for a reason and he is not afraid to shoot, stab or kill anyone that comes his way.

If this speculation holds true, Oliver Queen and his entire team will have another character to face and possibly destroy.

"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW sometime in the next couple of months.
