5 Seconds of Summer band member Michael Clifford has been spotted wearing a cap after reports of his hair growing thin and patchy surfaced.

The musician was seen at the Los Angeles Airport on Wednesday, July 6, wearing a black cap to hide his blonde colored hair. Clifford is said to be hiding his hair that has become thin after years of constant styling and hair color changes, according to Mail Online. The singer's airport fashion also included a black long sleeved jacket over a black shirt and a pair of dark sunglasses.

This is not the first time that news of the musician's thinning hair was reported. In mid-June, Clifford attended the launch of the Vegemite Mitey Drum where he was photographed with a messy blond colored hairstyle with a few patchy areas. Apart from Clifford, fellow 5SOS band members Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Luke Hemmings also attended the said event.

Speculations pointed to Clifford's frequent hair color changes as the culprit behind the singer's distressed hair. The 5SOS guitarist has been known to sport various hair colors such as red, blue, black and brown. Moreover, the singer's 2015 stage accident may have also affected the general condition of his hair. Avid fans may recall that Clifford's accidentally hair caught on fire during a stage performance in London.

Meanwhile, Clifford's travel destination on Wednesday remains still unclear. The Australia singer, along with his 5SOS band members, is currently on a world tour to promote the group's latest album "Sounds Good Feels Good." They recently performed in Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular held in Manhattan on Monday, July 4, Just Jared reported. The Australia boy band performed two songs during Macy's holiday celebration. 5SOS band members rocked out to their hit tracks "She's Kinda Hot" and "What I Like About You."

The four-member boy band has recently embarked on the North American leg of their "Sounds Live Feels Live" world concert tour. The group is set to perform in various cities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
