China’s sex toy market is estimated to be worth 100 billion yuan. Lately, sex dolls were the best sellers as both single and married men buy it for sexual release or companionship.

However, not all buyers of sex toys are into dolls which could be bulky because these toys are made to approximate the size of a real human woman. There is also a profitable segment for self-abuse toys which an American lawyer has discovered and is profiting from.

Brian Sloan, the attorney from the U.S., saw himself as just an average lawyer and did not want to live a lackluster legal life. So he established in 2008 in Beijing Very Intelligent eCommerce Inc where he is chief executive, reports News.com.au.

The company develops, manufactures and sells in China and overseas masturbators and dildos. As proof of his booming business, Sloan forecasts the company’s sales would hit $10 million in 2016. He says the business is very profitable because of people being more open about trying his devices.

The Autoblow 2, a masturbator for males, is the firm’s bestseller. Sloan explained, “Masturbation is a normal part of life, and people are becoming more and more open to improving their masturbation by using a product.”

To bring the device from the drawing board to the market, Sloan used Indiegogo, a crowdfunding site, to raise $283,000 which financed the production of the first 5,000 pieces of the sex stimulating robot. Since he launched it in 2014, Sloan has sold 90,000 Autoblow 2s globally. The Autoblow, which has different models, costs from $119 to $129.

Sloan shared that the original Autoblow was not his invention. It was a sex toy sold in the 1990s which was just a standard battery-operated masturbator. He improved on it and now has 100 other products, including the 3Fap – a male masturbator for the mouth, vagina and anus – and the Slaphappy, a flat bendable vibrator.

From making self-abuse sex toys, Sloan has progressed to being the organizer of the Vaginal Beauty Contest which was featured in the June 2016 issue of Playboy magazine.
