“Red Dead Redemption” is one of the more popular games included in Microsoft’s Backward Compatibility program and based on feedbacks, the game has been performing a whole lot better on the Xbox One over the Xbox 360.

Seeing how the Xbox One is the modern and improved game console in the market, “Red Dead Redemption” is expected to fare better. That includes previous concerns tied up to frame rates and screen tearing instances though there are hiccups that occur every once in a while according to Attack of the Fan Boy.

The frame rate used to drop at 20 fps on the Xbox 360 and the report noted how the Xbox One version now retains that at 30 fps. The improvement goes as far as to cover busy town sections, a scene where frame drops have been notoriously occurring. In this case, there was only one instance of frame rate drops which was during a shoot-out at a farm.

Despite the fact that the Xbox One is an advanced game console, not all games under the backwards compatibility program are expected to perform better. “Red Dead Redemption” is a special case though much of the improvements are tied up to the re-programming done on the western video game classic.

With “Red Dead Redemption” rendering good reviews, such could be one of the reasons why the game earned a big jump in the rankings over at Amazon. The classic game saw a huge 6,329 percent increase in the sales ranking per the Amazon’s Movers & Shakers list.

With improved game play and lesser bugs, “Red Dead Redemption” players of old will want to see if the game has indeed improved. Its availability should become a new option for gamers who have been tied up with the latest game titles right now such as “Overwatch” or “Battlefield 1 alpha”.

Rockstar Games has sweetened their deal with the availability of “Red Dead Redemption” by offering discounts and freebies for most “Red Dead” DLCs on the Xbox One. Among the DLCs offered for free are “The Legends and Killers”, “Liars and Cheats”, “Outlaws to the End”, “Myths and Mavericks” and “Hunting and Trading”.

The “Undead Nightmare”, “War Horse”, “Golden Guns” and “Deadly Assassin” make up the discounted game titles according to IGN.
