Earlier this month, it was announced that Katy Perry is going to have her own mobile game to developed by Glu Mobile, which is the same studio that created Kanye West's wife's "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" game.

There is high expectation for Perry's mobile game, which has yet to be given a title, after wife's "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" dominated the Apple App Store charts.

Meanwhile VLC for iOS makes a successful comeback to the App Store yet again after four years.

In 2011, the media player known for its capability to play most media formats arrived on iOS, but after a licensing dispute, it was pulled from the App Store.

In 2013, VLC for iOS was made available once again for download but in September 2014, it was pulled from the App Store again. At the time, the developer said it would be back again soon but did not until Feb. 16, Monday, when VLC for iOs returned to the App Store for the second time.

In 2014, Yahoo reportedly planned to replace Google as the default search engine on the Safari browser of Apple for iPhones and iPads. Google is set as the default search on Apple's mobile devices but users can adjust certain device settings to change Google to either Yahoo or Microsoft's Bing.

To make Yahoo search the first option on the Safari browser of Apple, Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer and SVP of Mobile and Emerging Products Adam Cahan pitched Yahoo on a mobile search engine that it has in the works, Recode reported.

The plan appeared to have a long way to go. Yahoo has not made a presentation yet, but one of the most powerful executives at Apple, the Design Chief Jony Ive, was already informed by Mayer about the idea.

Mayer and Cahan aimed to grab the prime position in iOS search and have reportedly created images of how the offering might look, Tech Radar reported.
