While “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki will hold his last China fan meet on Saturday, July 16, in Shanghai, on Wednesday, July 13, Taiwanese actor Darren Wang held a fan meet in Seoul at Ewha University.

AllKpop reported that Darren Wang, star of the Taiwanese romance movie “Our Times,” thanked Song Joong-ki who portrayed his character in the film during the Hallyu star’s fan meet in Taiwan recently. “I’m very thankful, and I had a lot of fun with it,” Wang said.

Wang added, “[The director] is a huge fan of Song Joong Ki. Ask him how he feels.” Frankie Chen, who directed the romance movie, said, “I was surprised that such a big star watched the movie twice. I was always happy that he sang a song from my film. All my daughter’s friends’ mothers were at that fan meet, but I was too embarrassed to go.”

Wang also said that he would want to do a film with Song Joong-ki. However, if such an opportunity arises, it would be at least a year away because the schedule of the 30-year-old actor is blocked until November to finish filming “Battleship Island.”

There are also unconfirmed report that Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo will star in the movie version of “Descendants of the Sun” but not in Season 2 of its run in KBS 2TV and iQiyi. Blossom Entertainment, the agency of Song Joong-ki, has also expressed that the actor is open to accepting more offers from Chinese and Korean producers to do dramas, but Song Joong-ki needs to finish his prior commitments first.

Among the productions that has expressed interest in getting him as male lead is for the Chinese drama “You, the Scent of Love.” If he accepts the offer, Song Joong-ki would likely have Chinese actress Zheng Shuang as his leading lady.
