The events in "iZombie" went from bad to apocalyptic, as a zombie outbreak engulfed Seattle in "iZombie" Season 2 finale episode. Will a massive zombie versus zombie warfare ensue in "iZombie" Season 3?
Lead actress Rose McIver dished out some interesting details about "iZombie" Season 3 in an interview with Bleeding Cool. She revealed that there may be a battle of the zombies in place for the third season, with the conflict led by Liv on one side and Vivian on the other. Team Liv will do whatever it takes to save Seattle from the zombies, while Team Vivian will be happy to feast on every human flesh that comes their way.
Additionally, viewers will get to meet interesting zombies in Season 3 who will adopt the characteristics of the people whose brains they will eat.
Other than this major catastrophe, fans are also looking forward to see any developments with regard to Liv's romantic relationships. According to TV Line, McIver joked that "no one wants to get cast" as Liv's boyfriend, considering that her past beaus in Season 1 and Season 2 both ended up dead. But there's one ex-love that's still alive and kicking, and that's none other than Major, played by Robert Buckley. Will the former couple reunite in "iZombie" Season 3?"
McIver commented that while Liv and Major started out as friends and went through thick and thin together, their relationship is just plain complicated. "It's a really complicated thing - she's grieving two dead boyfriends. It's not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. I think they're really great for each other, and ... they love each other," McIver said about the exes.
Fans want Liv to find love in a hopeless place, and it seems that Major may be her knight in shining armor and emotional stronghold in "iZombie" Season 3.
Meanwhile, "iZombie" Season 2 ended with smashing ratings with 1.2 million views tuning in. It's the show's largest audience yet since Feb. 23.
Although there's no official word yet, it is reported that the "iZombie" Season 3 premiere date has been marked for 2017.
