Beijing Television is set to launch the program "International Reunion Dinner in Beijing," a show developed specifically for the Spring Festival. The show centers mostly on dinners themed with different cultural backgrounds.

"International Reunion Dinner in Beijing" is also to promote the campaign "Most Beautiful Families," a campaign launched by the Beijing Women's Federation on Feb. 8, 2015, about family values. Many families from all over the world have been invited as guests to the show to talk about their stories on their own family's festive moments on New Year traditions.

While cooking double cooked pork, a traditional Chinese dish, Shane, one of the guests, said: "My happiest moment is the reunion with my children and being able to cook them a feast." Shane is from the United States and currently resides in Beijing.

With Beijing being the center of communication, the bustling city is home to many diplomatic agencies, organizations and enterprises. Beijing is currently home to many families of different nationalities. The campaign aims to woe these international settlers to share their different traditional cultures and showcase their families' festive moments.

Accordingly, more and more international families settle in the Chinese capital. Beijing Women's Federation invited these families to take part in its campaign as a means to learn more about differing traditional cultures and basically take part in China's overall celebration of the New Year.

The federation plans to continue its "Most Beautiful Families" campaign through the rest of 2015. By sharing their best moments, these families will be more acculturated and accepted in modern-day China.

The overall effect would undoubtedly show Beijing as a bustling city of different cultures and traditions but harmoniously living as one.
