It is confirmed that Dylan O' Brien will be returning to "Teen Wolf" Season 6 as Stiles Stilinski after so many speculations about the actor's real condition due to his accident. However, some characters are reportedly taking their exit prior to the new season, causing some changes in the series' storyline.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis confirmed that O'Brien will be seen again in the MTV supernatural series. The new season will be centered at the actor proving that Stiles is still one of the crucial characters in "Teen Wolf" Season 6.

"Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him," Davis told the publication. "We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia. We're going to see why exactly he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship is with Lydia."

Just before "Teen Wolf" Season 6 hits the TV screen this fall, there are speculations that the series may need to change its plot due to the departures of some important characters. Arden Cho, who played Kira Yukimura is reportedly not returning for the new season. There are also rumors that Meagan Tindy and Tyler Hoechlin are not anymore joining the highly-anticipated season.

Contrary to the rumors, Season 6's plot will remain the same despite the exit of some characters as confirmed by Davis. A photo released for episode 1 showing O' Brien with a hand brace under his shirt confirms that there are no truth to the rumors.

Davis clarified that the photo was taken before his accident at the "Maze Runner" set. O' Brien reportedly had a different injury that was also written into the series. Davis added that his plans for O'Brien to be the lead cast in "Teen Wolf" Season 6 did not change even after his accident.

It was earlier reported that Tindy, who played Braeden for "Teen Wolf" may not return to the series as she takes other TV assignments, including "UnReal" and "Survivor's Remorse." In an interview with Untitled TV in June, Tindy said that she has no idea how long her character as Braeden will last in the series.

There has been no official date of release yet for "Teen Wolf" Season 6. The official trailer and other details about the new season are expected to be revealed on July 21, Thursday, at the San Diego Comic-Con.
