GoPro CEO Nick Woodman have confirmed earlier this month that they will be releasing two other devices aside from the Hero 5. The much-anticipated Karma drone counts as the second device while the third product is yet to be unveiled.

Previously, the company announced they will be releasing their first drone camera ahead of the Hero 5, but just a few weeks ago they made an announcement that both devices will be launched together during the holiday season. Woodman cleared both devices were held back for a greater purpose, The Verge reported.

Several reports have already stated that the upcoming Hero action camera will be featuring 4K resolution that is able to capture at 60 fps. There had also been reports that Hero 5 will be taking a huge leap from Hero 4 in terms of specifications.

Aside from its upgraded camera specifications, the said product has been rumored to be waterproof as well, although this information needs to be confirmed. Speaking of shooting prowess, another rumored feature to come with the Hero 5 camera is it being able to conduct 3D video capture.

Although this has been already speculated by a lot of people, details for this feature are still not precise as of the moment. However, if it will not be able to capture in 3D, the Hero 5 will apparently have a dual-lens camera setup which can allow it to shoot in 3D.

A longer battery life is expected for the next iteration. A 2,800 mAh battery is the Hero 5's rumored capacity which may enable it to run on an average of 2 hours on a single charge. In terms of price, the Hero 5 is expected to come in higher than the Hero Session and above the Hero Silver at around $450 to $550.
