Ever since "Outlander" wrapped up its second season, a lot of questions have been keeping fans busy. But season 3 is a long time away as it will premiere in 2017. So does that mean fans will have to wait a good deal to get the answers, maybe not.

The answer is an emphatic "no" for actor Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie on the show. Heughan has teased some important details about upcoming Outlander" season 3.

In an interview with Vulture, the actor said that the upcoming season is going to feel like an entirely different show. Shedding more light on "Outlander" Season 3, he said that next year's stuff is probably going to be most interesting and the team is currently setting it up.

The stage is being set up for the show and when the next season unfolds, new characters will be introduced and the show will go into new and different worlds. Taking about his character, Jaime, he joked that he plans to eat a lot and stop working out, as he is going to gain some weight in order to portray the older Jaime.

On a serious note, he added that "Outlander" Season 3 will explore how Jaime was forced to figure out his own self without his wife Claire by his side. It will be a lot about his inner journey. However, fans are also excited to know if Claire will travel back in time and find Jaime.

Notably, in "Outlander" Season 2 finale, Claire had found out that Jaime had survived the battle of Culloden, which is again, a bigger mystery for everybody. Now, it remains to be seen if she will be able to unearth his fate and travel back. The same also holds true for Brianna as she had learned that she can use the stone circle to travel back in time. So, will she go back in time to meet her father Jamie Fraser still remains a question.

Well, "Outlander" Season 3 holds the answers to all these questions. And since Heughan has said that it is going to be different, we are all the more excited for the time-travel fantasy series to return on Starz. Meanwhile, Heughanis also being snapped up for a top British fashion brand, according to Daily Mail.
