Exciting things are set to happen in the upcoming third season of the CW series "iZombie." Latest spoiler news tease of Rose McIver's character Liv encountering a huge challenge in the show's new season.
The explosive Season 2 finale episode that aired on April 12 has shown viewers a bloodbath scene following the Max Rager party where many were killed. The aftermath of the said event will continue to resonate through the early episodes of "iZombie" Season 3, as Liv will try to keep the existence of zombies a secret from the world. However, an eyewitness may ruin Liv and the gang's cover up plans, TV Guide reported.
The situation would result in a nightmare scenario for McIver's character. Keeping the truth about the public massacre would become a tough challenge especially as more individuals will be involved in the case. Liv may have a difficult time taking control of the situation, as indicated in the same report.
Another issue that will add to Liv's worries would be Vivian Stoll's (Andrea Savage) plans for a zombie invasion. McIver shared during the show's panel at the San Diego Comic-Con held on Friday, July 22, that Vivian's zombie uprising plans can be compared to a "military operation," TV Line reported. She even commented that her character found the new zombies exuding a more sinister feel to them.
Showrunner Rob Thomas stated that the upcoming third season will feature Liv and her friends trying to learn more about Vivian's Filmore Graves. He hinted that the potential zombie uprising will become a key story in Season 3. Thomas also teased that they have already prepared "big cool sets" to film the said plot line.
The upcoming Season 3 will also feature a small change in the episode's format. Thomas commented that some episodes would have a "Law & Order" feel to it. He explained that one episode will show both Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solving a case together, but the succeeding episode will have Peyton (Aly Michalka) prosecuting the said case. However, this could lead to Peyton discovering that "there's more to [the case] than it seems," Thomas stated.
"iZombie" Season 3 is expected to air in the fall of 2016 on The CW.
