'Food Wars: Shokugeki No Soma' season 2 episode 5 eng sub spoilers reveal that Yukihira Soma and Mimasaka Subaru will have a shokugeki battle and both will cook beef stew.
At the end of episode 4, it was revealed that Mimasaka defeated Takumi Aldini. In the semi-finals, Mimasaka will face off Yukihira and he provoked him to participate in a shokugeki battle like what he did with Aldini.
The two made semifreddo, an Italian dessert. Subaru cooks the same dish, but with his own twists and improvements. Surbaru was declared as winner and advanced to the semifinals. He also took away Takumi's knife as well as his precious chance and dream to beat Yukihira Soma in the Autumn's election semi finals. Moreover, he will not apologize for insulting Isami and their Italian cooking.
Yukihira and Mimasaka set out the conditions of the shokugeki saying that if Yukihira won, Mimasaki will return all the 100 knives he won in his shokugeki battles, including Aldini's mezzaluna. Meanwhile, if Mimasaka was triumphant, he will get Yukihira's knife and Yukihira will quit cooking.
In the upcoming fifth episode, Yukihira will reveal to Mimasaka that he will cook beef stew as the theme of the shokugeki battle is western-style food or yoshoku. Mimasaka is known to copy the dish that his opponent is cooking and revealing the dish will gain him an advantage.
The fifth episode is expected not to show the shokugeki battle yet as it will show the preparation of the two players before the fight. Yukihira is expected to seek the help of Ikumi Mito or Nikumi when it comes to the meat that he will use in the match.
The reason why Yukihira revealed his dish to Mimasaka is to put them in equal ground. If Mimasaka knows his recipe, they both have chances to improve the dish. This is the Battle of Creativity.
