The production representative also complimented the actress for her acting abilities. Shin was even described as a Korean star with a "refreshing image." She has also shown potential and acting range in various drama projects.

Avid fans may recall that Shin portrayed the character Kang Eun Hee in the 2015 tvN drama titled "Oh My Ghostess." She also starred as Han Sul in the MBC series "She Was Pretty" alongside Hwang Jung Eum, Park Seo Joon and Choi Siwon. Her most recent drama project included KBS2's "Five Enough" where she played the role of the teacher Lee Yeon Tae.

For the upcoming SBS drama "Legend of the Blue Sea," Shin joins "Boys Over Flowers" actor Lee, "You Who Came from the Stars" actress Jun, as well as Lee Hee Joon. The new series has been identified as a fantasy romance drama based on a Korean storybook about mermaids and mermen.

The project also serves as the drama comeback for both Lee and Jun. The last time viewers saw the Korean actor was in the drama "Heirs" where he starred alongside "Doctors" actress Park Shin Hye. On the other hand, the upcoming SBS drama will mark Jun's return to the small screens after her pregnancy.

In other news, Lee delighted many fans when he joined the KCON event held in Los Angeles in July. In an interview with People magazine, he shared his excitement in meeting his American fans during the annual Kpop event. He revealed that he considers his fans as "old friends" given the love and support that he has received from them over the years. The actor commented that he always feels happy when he visits other countries to meet his fans.

Meanwhile, "Legend of the Blue Sea" is expected to air in November on SBS.
