Prisma Cold Coffee Brew machine makes cold coffee in just 10 minutes for $279

Cold brew coffee is preferred by many but the rigorous process of brewing it can take hours and even a whole day but the Prisma machine aims to do it in just 10 minutes.

The Prisma cold brew coffee machine is not yet a product that is readily available in the market. Just like many noble, and sometimes crazy, ideas, the product is pitched as a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo with a goal of $150,000 in about a month.

While cold coffee brews are often the choice for coffee connoisseurs, the average user can now enjoy a cold brew with the Prisma machine. However, the price is not that cheap.

Interested backers can pledge $229 which is $70 off the retail price when it finally hits the market, Engadget has learned. The Prisma cold coffee brewer prototype that was sent out to testers in April was able to make cold brew coffee in just seven minutes, which is even more impressive than the 10 minutes the startup claims on the final product that will be released.

Almost everyone needs coffee in their life. Both students and professionals rely on their caffeine pick-me-up every day to handle their tasks and duties with more attention and awareness.

Starbucks has become one of the largest coffee shop chains in the world and it does not seem to slow down. However, not everyone has the time to line up at their nearest branch to get cold brew coffee.

Another good news is that the Prisma cold brew coffee machine does not use any proprietary accessories or hardware, Ubergizmo reported. Customers can just use their favorite coffee beans and filters without having to spend on new ones just for the Prisma machine.

As of this writing, the Prisma Cold Brew Coffee crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo already has more than $71,000 in pledged funds making it past the 48 percent mark on their goal. It still has a month left which means that it will overreach its goal in a day or two.

Since the Prisma already has a prototype ready, the final product is not far behind. Once the project has been fully funded, the production phase will start.

The Prisma Cold Brew Coffee machine is expected to ship on September 2017 for the Super Early Bird backers. Those who will be a little bit late in claiming the 500 slots will have to buy it for $279.
