Exciting things appear to be in store for avid Pokemon players. A Chinese game leak has unveiled some of the Pokemon characters whose creature type or classification will reportedly change in the upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon" game.

Reports about new Pokemon characters and other game features have been rife over the past weeks. The latest trailer for the game has uncovered the new Alola Forms where older Pokemon characters were revamped and given new abilities, as well as a new type or classification. However, a Chinese game leak has revealed more details about "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

The Chinese game leak was first reported in early July where it contained interesting features about the gaming title and teased of new characters. However, recent news has indicated that around 12 more Pokemon characters will be introduced in the game, iDigital Times reported. These characters are said to be part of the new Alola Form Pokemon.

The list of these new creatures has also been shared that includes several Pokemon type changes such as the Alolan Rattata and Raticate and its change to a dark type character. The Alolan Butterfly is now a bug and psychic Pokemon while the Alolan Growlithe and Arcanine characters have been changed to water type Pokemons.

On the other hand, the Alolan Forms Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam are now fighting type creatures. The same type change has also been made for the Alolan Doduo and Dodrio, although the said characters also exhibit flying capabilities. Meanwhile, the Alolan Nidoking and Nidoqueen are both fighting and poison type Pokemons.

At this time, it is still unclear if these characters will appear in the upcoming 3DS game. Both Nintendo and the Pokemon Company have yet to comment on the leaked gaming news.

In other news, pre-orders for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" have broken franchise records in Italy, according to a report posted on SegmentNext. The game sales of other "Pokemon" games have also risen to an all-time high, as well as sales for Nintendo 3DS devices. Sales levels for "Pokemon" gaming titles have increased to an average of 59 percent. The sales performance of the 3DS handheld gaming device has also posted an increase of 33 percent.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" is expected to hit gaming shelves on Nov. 18.
