The first photos of the highly-anticipated "Supernatural" Season 12 already came out and they seem to tell a lot about what fans could expect in the new season. After resurrecting, Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) is ready to fight to help Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) find her other son Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) who was abducted by the British Men of Letters.
"Supernatural" Season 12 will see how Castiel (Misha Collins), Dean and his mom battled with the British Men of Letters who left them bloodied, according to TVLine. The new season will also show Sam being tortured with a blowtorch by the British Men of Letters led by Lady Toni Bevell (Elizabeth Blackmore). It looks like they want to get as much as information from Sam and his life is now in danger.
The Season 11 finale saw Sam being shot by the British Men of Letters, who confessed that they had been following the Winchester brothers for a long time. The previous season also saw the return of Mary, who was brought back to life as Amara's gift to Dean.
As it was already reported, "Supernatural" Season 12 will bring back Smith and Blackmore to play the significant roles. "Jessie's Girl" singer Rick Springfield is a new addition to the cast to play the new vessel of Lucifer.
"We've introduced the British Men of Letters, they'll be part of what we're doing," Variety quoted executive producer Bob Singer as saying at the Comic-Con. "And we've still got Lucifer out there, so there's a hunt for Lucifer."
Also speaking at the Comic-Con, Collins teased that "Supernatural" Season 12 will see Castiel on the hunt for Lucifer, who invaded his body in the last season. Fans will be delighted to witness how the relationship between Mary and his two sons will transform, who were separated for three decades.
In the new season, Mary will still showcase her hunting prowess that has not faded through time. With age, she still has the best skills in hunting. It is also good to see how she and her grown up kids will deal with the supernatural.
