Los Angeles Lakers star shooting guard Kobe Bryant was not very pleased by what he had seen on a footage shown to him by Jimmy Kennel during his guesting at the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Feb. 23, Monday.
The video is all about an interview for Jeremy Lin by Sportsnet after the Laker's triumphed over Boston Celtics the previous day. But the conversation between the reporter and Lin was cut off by other Lakers players who went a bit wild about their victory. It prompted the reporter to usher them away.
Bryant's reaction was priceless. He was out for the season due to a shoulder injury, and his absence could be the reason why the Lakers are not doing a great job lately. In fact, they are more likely to end up being a part of the worst teams in the league the second time.
But with the game against the Boston Celtics on Feb. 22, Sunday, the Lakers won 118-111, with Jeremy Lin scoring the highest game points of 25, leading the team to its victory against their hottest rival, as shown on the ESPN boxscore.
During Lin's post-game interview, fellow Lakers players, Carlos Boozer, Jordan Hill, and Nick Young crashed in and got a little too excited over their record of 14-14, which they say is an improvement.
After the slight appearance of the crashers, they were lightly ushered away by the reporter, who appeared to be annoyed with what the group just did. He then turned his attention to Lin and asked how he feels toward the win.
"I am thankful to God. It's been a long year," Lin replied, as reported by Boston.
Bryant guested at the Jimmy Kennel Live Monday night, fresh without the shoulder sling. After seeing the footage, he unamused and was silent for a moment, which drew some laughs from the audience and Kennel himself.
On a lighter note, he still has a high regard for the team and hopes to win.
"You wanna win," he said. "It's hard to be in that environment when we are literally at the bottom of the league."
