Actor Lee Min-Ho, 29, just became the brand ambassador of another big brand. On Sept. 8, Thursday, Coca-Cola's canned coffee brand, Georgia Gotica, announced that the "Bounty Hunters" star will appear in TV commercials for the coffee brand, starting October.

"Georgia Gotica has a deep and rich coffee scent, and Lee, whose acting career stretches 10 years resembles this image," a representative from Georgia Gotica said in a statement obtained by Yonhap News Agency. "We are going to publicize the attractiveness of Georgia Gotica through Lee, who is beloved for his many charms."

The representative added Lee is receiving tremendous popularity both locally and internationally. Hence, it is expected to give positive impacts on the canned coffee brand image. Photos of Lee's photoshoot were then shared by fans on Twitter.

The actor rose to fame in 2009's "Boys Over Flowers." He is known for his leading roles in 2010's "Personal Taste", 2011's "City Hunter", 2012's "Faith" and 2013's "The Heirs."

After three years, Lee will make his small-screen comeback in "The Legend of the Blue Sea," an upcoming fantasy romance drama to be directed by Jin Hyuk. In the drama, Lee will transform into a young fellow, Kim-Mu, who comes from a noble family during the Joseon Dynasty.

In the present time, he will portray a cold-blooded extortionist, Heo Jun-Jae, who poses as a legal advisor, businessman or doctor to trick others. Opposite Lee is actress Jun Ji-Hyun, who has been cast to play a mermaid, Sim Chung.

In a sit-down interview with Drama Fever, the "Gangnam Blues" actor revealed the factors why he chose to star in the upcoming SBS drama. He admitted that he chose the "Legend of the Blue Sea" as his comeback project on the grounds that the drama has all the elements that are familiar to the viewers.

"I think this will be a series that has an appropriate amount of fantasy," Lee explained. "Since the drama contains elements that are universally acknowledged, I think that this project will give off a more familiar feel to the viewers."

With an intended release on Nov. 16, principal photography began on Aug. 19 at the Goesan County, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. More details about the drama will be revealed soon.
