Here is some great news for "The Vampire Diaries" fans. The Season 8 of the series will see the return of Tyler Lockwood, played by actor Michael Trevino. However, the finale season of the series will have an evil Damon, who will be back to his old trick of trapping young couples by lying on the road.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will have an evil avatar of Damon. It is similar to the Damon who appeared at the start of the series, E! News reported. And, he will be back to his old practice of trapping passengers. His "body on the road" trick involves, trapping passengers, or rather young couples in a deserted road by lying on the road. Moreover, this time, he will have Enzo as his partner while tricking people.

The finale season of "The Vampire Diaries" will see the return of Tyler as Trevino will be reprising his role as Tyler. It is speculated that he will appear in the third episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. According to Entertainment Weekly, Tyler will be coming back to save Damon and bring him back from the possessed state that had him going out of control after his experience in the vault. Tyler will talk to Damon and try to remind him of who he is and what things he should be doing and also those that he should not be doing.

With the return of the fan-favorite werewolf, Tyler, it is surely time to rejoice as they will get to see him in the last season of "The Vampire Diaries." Moreover, it is also being speculated that Nina Dobrev will mark her return to the series. There are high changes that fans will see her back on screen but it is said that she will not be returning as Elena Gilbert but as the evil Katherine Pierce.

Actress Kristen Gutoskie will be playing Selina, Alaric and Caroline's new nanny. Her first look for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has also been revealed. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will be back on television on Oct. 21, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
