The tech giant Apple has announced the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled in August this year.

Let's have a look at the features of Galaxy Note 7 and  iPhone 7 Plus.

iPhone 7 Plus

iPhone 7 Plus sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, Macworld UK reported.  Furthermore, the Apple device comes with dual cameras at the rear, both being of the 12 MP variety.

One camera is telephoto, and the other camera is wide. The iPhone 7 Plus is expected to come with a new processor - the A10 chip. According to reports, three versions of the Apple iPhone 7 Plus are there - one with 256 GB of internal memory, another with 128 GB of internal memory and one with 32 GB of internal memory.

Various reports claim that the iPhone 7 Plus will cost about $969 (256 GB), $869 (128 GB) and $769 (32 GB).

Samsung Galaxy Note 7


The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Other features of the Samsung device include a single 12-megapixel rear camera,  64 GB internal storage, 4 GB RAM and the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.

The camera can record 4K videos. The Note 7 comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset or Exynos, depending on where a user is from.

The Galaxy Note 7 sells at U.S. Cellular - $834, at T-Mobile - $849 and at AT&T - $880.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the software company Samsung is planning to issue a software update for the recalled Note 7 devices that will prevent them from overheating by restricting battery recharges to below 60%.

The company said that it is a measure to put customer safety first but they apologize for causing inconvenience. Samsung further said that the software update for South Korean owners will begin at 2 am on September 20.

It is not clear when the update will roll out overseas. Samsung is planning to start issuing new devices with batteries that will not be vulnerable to overheating starting on September 19.
