"The Blacklist" Season 4 premiere is around the corner, and fans are definitely eager to see what is in store next for Liz Keen (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) after last season's big revelations and cliffhangers.

While "The Blacklist" Season 4 is been anticipated, new trailers, the synopsis for episodes 1 and 2, as well as Megan Boone's recent interview reveal a lot of what to expect in the NBC series.

According to "The Blacklist" Season 4, episode 1 synopsis, when the season opens, Red will be tracking down Liz's whereabouts. In the Season 3 finale, Liz had nearly made it in escaping to Cuba with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold), her partner and their daughter Agnes after she faked her death to trick the Task Force and Red. Unfortunately, Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) after trailing Tom managed to find and abduct her.

The synopsis notes that Red sets out to find Liz at any cost after she is abducted by a man claiming to be her father. Meanwhile, the Task Force grapples with the shocking details that Liz is still alive."

A sneak peek for "The Blacklist" Season 4 by Entertainment Weekly also discovering Red rescuing Liz and finding Kirk's hideout, hinting that a reunion could occur within the first few episodes.

In the official synopsis for "The Blacklist" Season 4, episode 2, titled "Mato," Red and Tom will partner to find out where Liz is been held captive by Kirk. With the assistance of the Task Force, Tom and Red will hunt down a person who can give them details about Kirk and his plans.

"Red enlists Tom together with the Task Force to track a notorious bounty hunter who may be aware of Alexander Kirk's next step. Meanwhile, Liz is not sure if Kirk is trustworthy," reads the official synopsis for "Mato," which airs Sept. 29.

"The Blacklist" Season 4 may reveal who Red really is to Liz (Megan Boone), and the key to this revelation could be his longtime nemesis, Kirk. Red had told Liz in the Season 3 finale that he is her real father, Constantine Rosov, this will be the first of many revelations to happen.

Boone told Entertainment Weekly when asked if her character's connection to Red will finally be revealed that it is definitely a possibility.

"What it is starting to seem like is we are really delving into Liz's past and exposing things withheld throughout the series. So I cannot say confidently," she said.

One of the big mysteries Season 4 may shed light on is what occurred on the night of the fire that separated Liz from her father.

In a trailer for the "The Blacklist" Season 4, Liz interrogated Red about the fire, asking him what happened and if he had been there that night. Red accepted to have been inside the house during the fire and proved with scars.

Though Jon Bokenkamp, series creator previously said Kirk was saying the truth about being Liz's father, there are still some thoughts that there might be another twist in "The Blacklist" Season 4 about Liz's parentage.

In the previous seasons, viewers have been speculating Red to be her real father, and this was only fueled when an episode in Season 3 hinted that there is more to Red and Liz's mother's history than fans initially thought.

In addition, Red might not be forthcoming with this detail and will not easily tell Liz the truth. But there is still one person who knows all the answers to Liz's questions, and that's her father.

During a recent interview with TV Line, Bokenkamp said, "Kirk is a character who has a firm grasp on truths about Elizabeth Keen's past, unlike any character we have had before. Over time, he will be unveiling truths about who Elizabeth Keen is, where she comes from and what her connection is to Kirk, to her mother and, to Reddington."

"The Blacklist" Season 4 is set to air on NBC at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 22.
