GoPro Karma drone and GoPro Hero 5 could finally be unveiled to the public on September 19 after several weeks of teasers through leaked screenshots and specs.
The action camera might finally be revealed in a few days and all of the speculations and rumors will be put to rest. GoPro Hero 5 will be the newest device for the company's famous action cameras that daredevils and thrill seekers use to capture their life defining moments.
GoPro CEO Nicholas Woodman already confirmed in one press conference that they aim to release their next camera in Q4 but no Hero 5 release date was unveiled, Morning Ledger has learned. It has been two years since the last release of their cameras which also did not fare well in terms of sales.
GoPro Hero 5 Specs and Features
The new camera from GoPro is expected to capture gorgeous 4K at 30 frames per second which is just right as not all audiences have a monitor or TV with the resolution. Considering that the company does not release cameras every year, it would be just enough time before 4K becomes the mainstream resolution.
GoPro would have to release the Hero 5 soon if they want to keep up as smartphone cameras become better and the device themselves are slowly becoming waterproof, Investorplace reported. Even the iPhone 7 was announced to be water resistant and features a dual-camera setup in its rear for better capture of videos and photos.
Of course, the GoPro Hero 5 would be waterproof out of the box. The interesting bit is that it would not need a special case anymore unlike its predecessors which may cost additional dollars.
GoPro is also expected to release their highly anticipated Karma Drone. There are even some rumors that it will be launched alongside the Hero 5.
The company's drone is a little late to the party as there are already several companies that have the best drones in the market. GoPro would have to become creative with Karma if they want it to beat the competition.
Fans will have to wait whether the GoPro Hero 5 specs and the GoPro Karma release date will be unveiled on September 19. If not, both devices are still expected to be launched by the end of the year.
