Apple decided to remove the standard headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and the answer for those who want to listen privately to their tunes or movies is the wireless Airpods.

In addition to being expensive, Apple Airpods have also been criticized for being easily shaken off of the ears of the user and possibly getting lost in a room or even in the public. As such, the wireless earphones from the Cupertino-based company has been the target of memes and parodies on the Internet.

One popular parody is from the Conan TV show as they animate an Apple Airpods ad similar to original iPod commercials several years back, Digital Trends has learned. The ad shows two people dancing to the music with the Airpods and losing them as they fly off of their ears.

The lady in the ad buys two more pairs of Apple Airpods after she loses them. There is even a dog which is shown to have already eaten several pairs of the wireless earphones for the iPhone 7.

Conan's parody ad is based on the famous iPod "Silhouettes" advertising movement more than a decade ago, Adweek reported. It makes fun of the fact that Apple is selling the overpriced wireless earphone and they can do so because the iPhone 7 has no earphone jack.

While everyone is laughing at Apple's decision, there are still some loyal fans who ate up all the marketing efforts from the company and bought both of the products. Apple CEO Tim Cook insists that there was not even one time that the Apple Airpods slipped off of his ears.

Cook even said that he uses it while running on a treadmill or walking around the neighborhood. He adds that the Airpods are safer because there are no wires that can be tangled or accidentally caught in the way of a heavy machinery and in any other possibly dangerous circumstance.

Apple's wireless Airpods for the iPhone 7 costs $159 for each pair and there is no insurance for when the customer loses them due to it slipping off. The company is not expected to sell the new earphones until October.
