While everyone has been caught by surprise when reports came out that A-list couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is heading for divorce, rumor has it that the prime actress has hinted on their marital problems that have been going on for years.
Despite putting up a happy-family-with-six-kids façade, Jolie dropped clues that the marriage is marred with petty problems accumulated over the years that explode into a messy divorce that did not only surprise Brad Pitt, but the rest of the world and everyone rooting for them.
In fall 2015, the couple starred in a film written and directed by Jolie that explored a couple's journey in trying to salvage their marriage in French seaside resort. The film is like tea leaves that foretold the impending doom of Hollywood's favorite couple Brangelina.
The film sparked rumors that Brangelina's marriage is on the rocks and the couple is heading for divorce. At first, the two tried to dispel the rumors and they celebrated their anniversary recently and let everybody thinks that everything is okay on the couple's camp.
It seems that the saying is true that, if there is smoke, there is fire. TMZ reported that Jolie filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences". She also added that Jolie is unhappy and fed up with Pitt's substance abuse, which news portals say are weed and alcohol. She attacked Pitt's parenting methods and requested for custody of their six children.
The couple started at a rocky path when Pitt left Hollywood's sweetheart and his wife then, Jennifer Aniston, for Jolie after filming "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". Brangelina made us almost believe that they were meant to be and that love is real and can happen in Hollywood.
There were talks that another woman took Brad Pitt from Jolie. Pitt was reportedly involved with former co-star Marion Cotillard and Jolie hired a private investigator to stalk on the two that prompted Jolie to end the relationship.
