Since the search for the perfect contender for the role of Carol Danvers is over, MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is spending a lot of time to select the right director to direct the movie.


As per the latest update, the fans have chosen Lesli Linka Glatter as their favorite. According to The Mary Sue, there were three contenders initially - Niki Caro, Lesli Linka Glatter, and Lorene Scafaria.

Glatter is a 63-year-old director who was nominated for an academy award for her work in the ''Tales of Meeting and Parting'' released in 1984. She has directed many successful TV series like ''Pretty Little Liars'' between 2011 and 2012, ''Homeland'' between 2012-present, ''Grey's Anatomy'' in 2005, ''Gilmore Girls'' between 2000-2001 and many others.

She has directed almost all genres of TV series including comedy, horror, family drama, romance etc. and has huge experience in directing. Since she is a household name for most of the world audience which watches these TV series, she became a popular choice in many fan polls.

Meanwhile, it seems the way Brie Larson defeated many A-listers of Hollywood like Sienna Miller, Rebecca Ferguson, Katheryn Winnick, Charlize Theron, Katee Sackhoff and many others to bag the coveted role of the first female superhero of MCU. Academy Award winner Brie Larson who was chosen to don the role of the female avenger is gearing up for this role now. According to Cinemablend, Larson is receiving a lot of accolades through social media.

''Like, on social media, I get sent a lot of pictures of young girls wearing the Captain Marvel costume, and I'm excited to see more of that'' Larson confessed candidly. ''She's such a great symbol for young girls, and I'm realizing what a deficit we have, that we don't have more of those. I think it's really cool to see a girl in a Batman costume or Spider-Man costume, but I'm really excited that there's a symbol for women. I think that that's really important'' she added further.
