''The Shadow Within'' is an upcoming mystery thriller which will open in cinemas sometime in 2017. It marks the return of Lindsay Lohan after a long hiatus.
Lohan will play the role of Patricia in the movie which is one of the key roles of the movie. Not much is revealed about her role; however, the plot revolves around the role Kristy Wolfe (Charlotte Beckett), who is a tough private investigator in the movie and she tries to keep the secret that her forefathers were werewolves as she tries to unravel the motive behind the murder of her uncle. There is a lot of drama surrounding the supernatural creatures in the movie.
Lohan had been updating her Instagram and other social media timelines since the end of 2015 when the shooting of the film started. Since this is a movie which will mark her comeback, her fans have been waiting patiently for it.
Recently, she was involved in a boating accident while vacationing with her friends in Turkey. She almost lost her entire ring finger and she posted some pictures on Snapchat to show the condition of her finger.
According to TMZ, Lohan was having a leisure time on Sunday afternoon, and the anchor pulled her down into the water. While she tried to get back into the boat, her ring finger was badly injured. A plastic surgeon had to attend to it to reconstruct back her finger.
"I almost lost my finger from the anchor. Well, I lost half my finger, thank goodness we found the piece of my finger...i just had surgery to fix it," stated Lohan to her Snapchat followers. ''It hurts so bad" she added further displaying her bandaged finger.
Now since the movie ''The Shadow Within'' is in the post-production stage, it will not affect the film much; however, she needs to recover fully when the promotion of the movie starts.
In other news, Lohan has signed a contract to appear in the upcoming season of the cooking show ''Friday Night Feast.'' The celebrity chef Jamie Oliver will be seen cutting and tossing vegetables with Lohan on England's Channel 4 TV soon. Lohan moved to London in the beginning of this year, UPI reported.
