Jung Joon-young, 27, has responded to reports surrounding a leaked sex tape allegedly featuring him. The agency of the Korean actor and singer, known for starring in the 2015 series "The Lover," issued a statement denying any involvement in the sex clip that is being circulated on the Internet.

"The man in the video that has been going around is not Jung Joon-young," Jung's agency C9 Entertainment said in a statement obtained by Soompi. "We didn't say anything about it because we didn't think it was worth making a response, but because it continues to be spread, we will be discussing how to deal with it."

The agency further added that an official announcement will follow once a decision has been made against the person responsible for posting the sex tape and claiming that the person in the video is Jung. The agency may consider taking legal action against the individual.

Jung has been at the center of controversy recently. In September, several news outlets reported that Jung was being investigated by the Seongdong District police after a woman identified as A accused the star of the sex crime.

Jung's agency later clarified that it was true that the actor and singer was accused of sexual assault. However, the agency noted that he was found innocent and was acquitted of the charges, Korea Portal reported.

The agency revealed that Jung's ex-girlfriend had filed the sexual assault complaint against the star following a minor misunderstanding between the couple. In her complaint, the woman claimed the musician filmed a part of her body without her consent.

In the wake of the sexual assault allegations, Jung quit from several variety shows, including KBS' "2 Days & 1 Night." However, after the Seoul Eastern Prosecutors Office confirmed the singer's acquittal on Oct. 5, some shows have been considering the possibility of his return.
