It is now clear who is the most powerful superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is Captain Marvel whose real name is Carol Danver, according to Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige.

When it comes to the question of who is the most powerful superhero there is, Superman and The Hulk are usually shortlisted. Superman stands out among DC films, but The Hulk has competitive rivals in MCU. Now, it seems that Captain Marvel now rules in that universe based on the upcoming film.

Danver's story is similar to Green Lantern's and Marvel Studios makes a slight change. Writers Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman made changes to Danver's back story that sets her apart from other famous heroes and made her the strongest hero in MCU.

"What is one of the coolest things about it is she will be by far the most powerful character we've ever introduced in the movie," Feige told IGN during a  footage screening event of his latest project "Doctor Strange." "She will prove to be a very important character in our universe for all the movies."

Danver's limitations and vulnerabilities will be the core of her story which Marvel is still putting together. From the comics, the hero's background is very interesting and they will try to make it really cool in telling her story. The new Danver will have much more power. Seeing her interact with the Avengers for the first time is also something to look forward to.

Since Captain Marvel will be among MCU's most important characters, fans will see a lot of her. She will be in the center and front of many Marvel affairs, according to Comicbook.

The people behind the upcoming Captain Marvel film are still looking for a female director. While they planned to have a filmmaker on board for the project in summer, they saw the need to finalize the story first.

Captain Marvel will be seen in her solo film set to be released on March 8, 2019. She will be portrayed by actress Brie Larson ("Short Term 12" and "Room").
