Jeremy Lin has been showing how he can be effective in the NBA preseason for the Brooklyn Nets though reality sinks in once the regular season kicks off later this month. Building some rapport is a need for "JLin" and that includes a light comedy video technically done per his suggestion.

Jeremy Lin is no stranger to agreeing to cameo roles. He showed off some of his dance moves opposite “Green Hornet” star Jay Chou a couple of months as previously reported here on Yibada. That said, appearing in another video hardly comes a cause for concern with Lin seemingly comfortable doing parodies.

The video involving Jeremy Lin seems more like a reality TV like of a setup with a couple of marketing people trying to help Lin build his stock. Though comedic, it is technically all part of boosting his stock moving forward.

Per the scripts, Lin somehow gets involved on how to build his brand. There was that “Baby Lin” suggestion which was actually the opposite of what Kyrie Irving showed off when he played “Uncle Drew”. In the end, it was the hidden camera prank which didn’t really turn out as they had expected.

Rather than produce elated fans, it went the opposite. Most threw things and cursed at Jeremy Lin, a bit different from the laughs that most get on “Candid Camera” segments. Then again, all of that was expected to be done on purpose in an effort to build some stock.

The last scene showed a man getting a heart attack when Lin popped up from the table, something that may not have been wise, the Post Game reported. While it was all done for fun, it could also send mixed signals to viewers.

Either way, the efforts to produce the clip was generally to help Jeremy Lin build himself and shed off some pressure for Lin and the Nets. A lot falls on his shoulder for the coming season as he embarks on his first official starting role in the NBA, ESPN reported.
