iPhone jailbreak could get significantly harder in the future as Apple plans to restrict the system to those who want to modify it. Apple's fans have been hoping that the company will loosen their grip on iOS, allowing more future jailbreaks.
After the release of iOS 10, it was rumored that the system has additional security features in place that made it more challenging to crack. No actual jailbreak has come out yet despite the mixed reports about the current status of the jailbreak for iOS 10, with rumors claiming that a jailbreak solution is around the corner.
Pangu, a Chinese jailbreak development team, was expected to release the iOS 10 jailbreak; however, the hacker group have reportedly hit a wall in their effort to unlock iOS 10. The group seems to be stuck just like their competitors at the moment.
Pangu is reported to have made a working solution already but they have been having problems getting it to work properly on all iOS 10 devices. Some of the jailbreak tool users have criticized the group, claiming that they should just avail the iOS 10 jailbreak tool for the devices on which it is known to be stable.
Meanwhile, other hacking groups and individuals have been making some progress, but there is no complete solution yet. Luca Todesco, a well-known iOS hacker and developer, is said to have managed cracking his own device. However, this is hardly any consolation for anyone as Todesco has a reputation for not sharing his tools with the public, MobiPicker reported.
Apple has been quiet on the situation and the company has already said enough about their stance on jailbreaking in the past. The company has been having an issue with it, to the extent that they are not going to allow it in any form on their systems.
The tech giant, at one point, allowed users to side-load apps to their gadgets, and it was seen as a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, nothing else has happened since then.
Those who have been jailbreaking their iPhones have been enjoying some great additional features, which are not available on the standard iOS. However, Apple have made some worrying moves with regards to iOS 9, and it seems like it is no longer possible to downgrade to it after moving up to iOS 10, Macworld reported.
