Liechtenstein, currently ranked 183rd in the world by FIFA, has lost its first three games of the tournament to settle at the bottom of the Group G table with a goal difference of -11. They lost their tournament-opener to Spain in an embarrassing 0-8 rout before being blanked by Albania, 0-2, in their second fixture.

The team was nipped by Israel, 1-2, in the previous matchday on Oct. 9 at the Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem for their third straight defeat, as per BBC Sport.

Israel scored the game's first two goals, courtesy of a brace from forward Tomer Hemed in the fourth and 16 minutes as the visitors went down by two points at the halftime break.

Head coach Rene Pauritsch's squad tried to come back in the second half and was able to close the gap to only a point with a goal from Vaduz defender Maximilian Göppel four minutes after the restart. However, both sides went scoreless after that as the Blues-Reds was handed another loss.

Meanwhile, Italy remained undefeated after three games with two wins and a draw with rival team Spain in their second game.

The team escaped with a 3-2 victory over Macedonia at the Philip II Arena in Skopje on Oct. 9 to stay at par with the Spaniards, Daily Mail Online reported.

Gli Azzurri scored the opening goal of the match in the 24th minute with a shot from Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

Macedonia then scored the next two goals to charge ahead, courtesy of Ilija Nestorovski and Ferhan Hasani in the 57th and 59th minutes.

However, head coach Giampiero Ventura's side clawed back with two late goals from Lazio striker Ciro Immobile in the 75th minute and in injury time to claim the come-from-behind victory.
