"Making A Murderer" Season 2 is just around the corner after the successful release of Netflix's documentary in 2015. Ahead of the second run, the turn of events in real life is moving fast with the impending release of Steven Avery's nephew Brendan Dassey.

An agreed order to access DNA evidences on the crime scene was finally reached between Avery's lawyer Kathleen Zellner and Manitowoc prosecutors. However, the details of the agreed order are yet to be determined, including how it will be examined and what pieces of evidences will be tested.

In Zellner's latest Twitter update, she wrote that the testing order may take a while as they wait for the release of Dassey which is still pending. She also wrote that Dassey is expected to be released on or before the Thanksgiving day to be with his family.

Before the agreed order, Zellner filed a motion in August to re-examine the proofs in the crime scene of the 2005 killing of Teresa Halbach. When "Making A Murderer" Season 2 returns, Avery's lawyer is expected to present the findings whether the evidences were planted or not through the use of modern technology, Cheat Sheet reported.

The "Making A Murderer" star has been requesting his lawyer to retest the evidences through the use of sophisticated forensic tests in order to prove that he is innocent. Avery already went through several tests in order to prove that he is not guilty of the crime, Uproxx quoted Zellner as saying.

The findings may be released three months following the examinations so it may take until February to finally reveal the findings. If Avery will be proven innocent, he may likely get an acquittal for the crime just like his nephew. Zellner promised to present other suspects in the case, including Halbach's former boyfriend or a serial killer during that time.

Creators of the show Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi confirmed that "Making A Murderer" Season 2 will see a mock trial of Dassey in the courtroom. Avery was already interviewed by the filmmakers for the future episodes of the second series.
