"Rick and Morty" Season 3 has been highly-anticipated and the wait seems to be just a bit longer as it is finally set for December. There was reportedly a delay because of the animation process which is an important part of the entire show itself.

There were reports that "Rick and Morty" show would debut before the end of 2016 on Adult Swim, Jobs & Hire has learned. Unfortunately, there has been no exact air date given by the showrunners.

Show writer Erica Rosbe updated that the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 has been completed four weeks ago in terms of all the plots and storyline. The problem was animating the whole show as it could be a rigorous and meticulous process, but she also added that most parts of the show are already animated.

Meanwhile, show creator Dan Harmon stated that the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 animation team has taken its job seriously. Fans can expect only the same high-quality TV series that they loved for two seasons now.

The unusual animation process of "Rick and Morty" makes it even more tiresome as animators use "retro scripting" method which alters the ad-libbed dialogue into the stammering and mumbling script of Justin Roiland's (Rick) voice, News Everyday reported. It makes for a more interesting and more organice show overall.

In addition, a production staff of "Rick and Morty" reportedly posted some speculations about the upcoming season. He was open to answer any questions regarding "Rick and Morty" although there were some that went unanswered.

One fan theory that was unconfirmed is that Morty will help Rick escape prison. He could learn that his grandpa Rick has been caught and he could also hatch a plan with the family to break him out. What is sure is that "Rick and Morty" season 3 will have 14 episodes to be aired in December.

Fans should just wait for updates from Harmon and the other showrunners themselves in order to know when "Rick and Morty" season 3 will finally air. The delay could even push it back to early 2017 although that seems to be a small possibility.
