Hello Games has finally released the "No Man's Sky" Foundation Update that includes some possible game-changers such as farming, more resources and planetary scans. Hello Games said that it will just be the first of many large updates.

When "No Man's Sky" was released, gamers were disappointed as there were not a lot of things to do in the game. All of the promised features during interviews with lead game developer Sean Murray were nowhere to be found.

Now, the new large update from Hello Games aims to give the players what they want. "No Man's Sky" now has automated resource farming which removes the burden of the repetitive task just to build a larger base, Engadget has learned.

Just like Mojang's widely successful "Minecraft," "No Man's Sky" now also has more game modes. The Foundation Update gives the new Survival and Creative modes which are also similar to what players are accustomed to in "Minecraft."

Creative mode in "No Man's Sky" allows players to freely roam planets and build as many bases as they want. They can do so without having to think about gathering resources or materials.

Players can now also make use of freighters to haul large amounts of resources in "No Man's Sky," according to Hello Games' official post. Helpers can also be recruited to make the player's life easier.

Another new improvement is the smart quick access menu which allows players to switch between items and interact with them. It will also warn players if pirates are within their vicinity so they can be prepared to fight or escape.

Interestingly, Hello Games has also added death quotes which have been made famous in some "Call of Duty" video games. They also added Terminus Teleporters that allow teleportation between Space Stations and the player's bases.

Hello Games said in their official Foundation Update post : " Welcome to the Foundation Update. It adds the foundations of base building, and is a foundation for things to come. This is the first of many free updates."

"No Man's Sky" players can download the foundation update by simply running the game's launcher. After updating, they can now explore and enjoy the new features and game modes that Hello Games has added.
