Activision's "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare"  and "Modern Warfare Remastered" will both be graced with major updates this Holiday season. Reports say that unique weapons and additional maps will be dished out to fans just in time for this season of giving.

Gamespot noted that both "Black Ops III" and "Infinite Warfare" players are said to be getting a special handgun dubbed as the "Hailstorm-Thunder." The thick pistol that looks like a steampunk version of Hellboy's Samaritan revolver is endowed with a so-called three-round burst that shells out three bullets in a single pull of the trigger. Furthermore, a couple of perks go alongside the short weapon namely "Focus" and "Whirlwind." The former will be handy in reducing the weapon's "idle sway" while the perk is in use.  Whirlwind, on the other hand, lets the Hailstorm fire in rapid successions, though the recoil of the weapon is greatly increased.

In the interim, "Modern Warfare" fans are also in for a treat as the remastered title will have new game modes to be added to the mix namely Hardpoint and Gun Game that were first featured in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and 2." A Holiday-laden map will also be part of the update dubbed as "Winter Crash" including a "24/7 Winter Crash Playlist" that will be available on Dec. 20, Polygon reported.

Also, six co-op gameplay maps will be stashed in the upcoming "Modern Warfare Remastered" downloadable content which includes, "Wet Work," "Showdown," "Strike," "Countdown," "Pipeline," and "Bloc."

In addition, Activision's blog post also mentioned of a "12 Days of Winter" giveaway where "Infinite Warfare" players will just have to log in the game from Dec. 21 until Jan. 1 to get daily freebies from the game.
